چکیده

Background: Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) measured by 2D speckle-tracking strain echocardiography (2D-STE) can detect impaired longitudinal left ventricle (LV) function at rest which is associated with significant coronary artery stenosis. Objective: may be used to predict the presence, extent and severity of CAD according angiographic findings in patients chronic stable angina. Methods: 2D-STE angiography were performed on 100 individuals suspected angina pectoris who had normal resting conventional echocardiography. assessed correlated for each patient. Results: Statistically difference was found when comparing mean GLS among coronaries different degrees disease (CAD).Mean – 20.76±1.39, -17.66±0.65, - 16.05±0.58 -14.22±0.65 normal/minor, single vessel, two vessels three respectively(p<0.001). Patients main (LM) stenosis 14.41±1.27 compared 17.1±1.91in without LM (p=<0.001). In our study cutoff value detection vessel -18.300 good sensitivity specificity (100% 96.6%, respectively) AUC (Area Under Curve) 0.996 p value< 0.001.

Study of Correlation of Pre-Operative Findings with Intra-Operative Ossicular Status in Patients with Chronic Otitis Media

Introduction: Chronic otitis media (COM) has been broadly classified into mucosal and squamous subtypes. COM types are associated with erosion of the ossicular chain. The aim of the present study was to correlate the type of COM, the site of perforation/retraction, and the type of disease pathology with the pattern and degree of ossicular chain necrosis.   Materials and Methods: A prospecti...

Monocyte Expression of Toll-like Receptor-4 in Patients with Stable Angina Undergoing Percutanoeus Coronary Intervention

Background: Toll like receptors (TLRs) are well recognized players in inflammatory conditions. Among them TLR-4 is involved in chronic inflammatory processes such as formation of atherosclerotic plaques. Objective: The present study was aimed to examine the effects of percutanoeus coronary intervention (PCI) as a revascularization method on monocyte expression of hTLR-4 and on the serum levels ...
